SERVICE LEVEL CORPORATION PROVIDES SUPPLIER AUDITING SERVICES TO AT&T THIRD PARTY SOLUTIONS
Uncovering supplier billing errors in telecommunications for AT&T
Ann Arbor, MI, April 2011 - Service Level Corporation (SLC), a leading provider of real-time transaction rating solutions, announced that SLC and AT&T (ATT), a global provider of telecommunications services and solutions, signed an agreement for SLC to provide supplier auditing services to AT&T Third Party Solutions. This effort is based on an initial project that involves collecting and processing bills and related charging information from eleven countries to apply the custom contractual AT&T rates for one of its large customers.
The earlier re-billing project includes the re-billing of both calls made and monthly recurring charges for services (monthly connection charges, ISDN lines, feature charges, etc.).
The new services involve creating a charging system that implements the rates promised by AT&T suppliers and re-billing AT&T’s costs rather that their charges to the AT&T customer.
The deliverables of the project identify the areas where AT&T suppliers deviate from their promised charges. These deliverables are both at a summary level and also are a transactional detail level. This means that if the error is just a tenth of a cent on about 13% of the call traffic we identify exactly which calls deviate from the supplier’s rate plan. We also report when they are under-charged by their supplier.
This extension to the business done with AT&T re-uses the investments already made in interfacing software and services that are provided in the AT&T re-billing project. This allows the auditing effort to start quickly and run in parallel with the re-billing project.
